FGCU advanced skills summer camp

FGCU softball to hold an advanced skills summer camp on July 11 at the FGCU Softball Complex. The camp is open to any and all entrants.

– Session 1: Pitching & Catching (9 AM – 10:30 AM)
During the pitching session, pitchers will focus on proper mechanics, work on movement pitches, increasing velocity and the mental aspects of pitching. The catcher’s session will include work on the mechanics of receiving, framing, blocking, transitions (throwing) and footwork.

– Session 2: All Skills (11 AM – 1 PM)
Campers will work on the necessary fundamentals to become a solid overall player. They will develop proper mechanics in offensive and defensive categories. This session will include work at a player’s specific position as well as hitting and will incorporate the skills utilized at these positions.

– Session 3: Game Simulation (1:45 PM – 4 PM)
Showcase your entire game. You will be put on teams to play full game speed. Pitching, hitting, defense and base running. Spots will be limited!

*$250 includes all three sessions
