Our weekly feature showcases some of the state’s top individual performances. It’s not a ranking but a way to recognize players who have excelled. Tyler Sciesinski: A Force at the Plate for Texas Glory Venice 18U
Leading the charge for Texas Glory Venice 18U was Tyler Sciesinski, a player whose performance at the USSSA CF Dream Big Tournament was nothing short of spectacular. Ashlan Guengerich Dominates the Circle for Texas Glory Venice 18U
While Sciesinski was making waves with her bat, her teammate Ashlan Guengerich was delivering in the circle. Guengerich’s pitching was nothing short of dominant, as she posted a perfect 2-0 record over the tournament. In just 8 innings of work, she allowed a mere 2 hits, struck out 11 batters, and did not surrender a single earned run. Opponents were left baffled, managing a paltry .077 batting average against her. Lynlee Klinger’s All-Around Excellence Fuels Ohana 14U
In the 14U division, Lynlee Klinger of Ohana 14U put on a clinic, showcasing her versatility and athleticism. Dallas Esperas: A Steady Hand in the Circle for Ohana 14U
Backing up Klinger’s offensive prowess was pitcher Dallas Esperas, whose calm and collected presence on the mound helped anchor Ohana 14U’s defense. Esperas threw 11.2 innings with an impressive ERA of just 0.60, allowing only 1 earned run while striking out 8 batters. Her ability to keep opposing hitters off balance and control the game from the circle was critical to her team’s success. Emily Bowling’s Bat Powers Lady Bombers Bowling 18U to Victory
Not to be outdone, Emily Bowling of the Lady Bombers Bowling 18U turned in a sizzling performance at the NSA Queen of Diamonds tournament. Bowling was nearly unstoppable at the plate, batting a scorching .700. Her power was on full display as she smacked 3 doubles and drove in 6 runs, contributing significantly to her team’s championship run. With 2 runs scored as well, Bowling’s all-around offensive game proved too much for opponents to handle, earning her recognition as one of the top hitters of the week.
Amira Peterson Shines Bright for Santa Fe Inferno Becker 16U
Rounding out this week’s top performers is Amira Peterson of Santa Fe Inferno Becker 16U, who delivered a performance that was nothing short of spectacular. Peterson batted an astounding .778, showcasing her ability to consistently make solid contact and drive the ball with authority. Her stat line includes a double, a home run, and 9 RBIs, underscoring her power and clutch-hitting ability.
