It was a wild week in College Softball, with many great games being played. We are going to start with Florida. They remained undefeated but still have yet to play a ranked opponent or even a team from a power five conference. That will change this weekend when they have to face undefeated UCLA. They will also face Oregon on their trip out west. It will be interesting to see how they do, playing against better competition. If their bats stay hot, they should be in good shape. Skylar Wallace and Elizabeth Hightower were named the SEC’s Co-Player & Co-Pitcher of the Week. Wallace hit .625 with a double, three triples, and two home runs. Hightower went 4-0 on the weekend, holding opposing batters to a .118 average.

Florida State went 3-2 on the weekend but faced five ranked opponents dropping games to No. 2 UCLA and No. 12 Alabama while earning wins over No. 4 Arkansas, No. 15 Arizona, and No. 22 Louisiana. Kaley Mudge had a good weekend at the plate, batting .411 (7-17) with six RBI. FSU will get a lighter schedule next week as they host the Unconquered Invitational.
UCF played a demanding schedule this past weekend going just 2-3. They will look to bounce back with mid-week match-ups against Louisiana and Stetson. Savannah Adams collected nine hits at the TaxAct Clearwater Invitational with a .385 AVG and a .692 slugging percentage.
