Another week of college softball is in the books. Below you will find who we thought had stand-out weeks for their respective teams. Each week will post top players.
NCAA DI
Offensive Player of the Week 03-27-2023: Jane’a Mobley, Florida A&M
Mobley had a hot bat this past week. In three games, the senior went 6-11 (.545) with five RBI and two doubles. On the season, she holds a .353 batting average.
Pitcher of the Week 03-27-2023: Kathryn Sandercock, Florida State
Facing No. 15 Duke this past weekend, Sandercock posted a 2-0 record. The Seminole ace allowed just one earned run and four hits over 10 innings of work. She also posted seven strikeouts.
NCAA DII
Offensive Player of the Week 03-27-2023: Ashley Troutman, Rollins
Troutman was on fire last week, going an impressive 12-16 (.750) over five games. The senior scored nine runs and had six RBI, a double, triple, and home run while also stealing eight bases. On the season, she has posted a .539 average.
Pitcher of the Week 03-27-2023: Emily MacMullen, Rollins
Rollins sweeps the awards this week. The sophomore posted three solid wins in five games. Over her 23.2 innings of work, she allowed zero earned runs while striking out 23.
NAIA
Offensive Player of the Week 03-27-2023: Leah Gonzalez, SouthEastern
We have another sweep, this time from Southeastern. Gonzalez went 4-10 (.400) this past week. The sophomore had two home runs, four RBI, and scored three runs.
Pitcher of the Week 03-27-2023: Claire Sekinger, Southeastern
Sekinger, another Southeastern sophomore, got the job done in the circle posting a 2-0. She allowed just two earned runs, posted 11 strikeouts in 11 innings.
NJCAA
Offensive Player of the Week 03-27-2023: Sierrah Snook, St. Petersburg College
Snook put up crazy numbers this past week. The sophomore went 11-13 (.846) on the week. She scored eight runs, knocked in five, had a double, and had five stolen bases.
Pitcher of the Week 03-27-2023: Alina Varga, Indian River
Varga had a good week racking up three wins on the week. The right posted 18 strikeouts over 18 innings allowing just two earned runs over her three wins.
