Bradenton, Fl. – The Pioneers have become the third member of the Florida Gulf Coast League (FGCL) to release its roster for the summer 2020 season. The Pioneer’s well-rounded roster consists of 15 members who play at the Division 1 and 2, NAIA and JUCO levels. Erica Beach, who has an extensive softball resume, will serve as head coach.
“I am incredibly excited about our 2020 roster,” said Coach Beach. “We have a great mix of athletes from all over the country and from all different levels of college ball. I’m im-pressed with their diversity and athleticism and know we will be competitive.”
Coach Beach continued, “I truly believe this summer’s season will be an opportunity for these young ladies to dive back into the sport they love and get their competitive edge back before returning to their collegiate institutions.”
The FGCL is still planning on opening its inaugural season in June. The league will con-sist of seven teams who will compete in a 25-game schedule.
“We all miss the sport and can all feel the excitement building as we get closer to sea-son. These ladies are hungry to compete, hungry to work on their game and hungry to get back into a team atmosphere,“ concluded Coach Beach.
