Florida Fastpitch Coaches Convention to Debut in Naples, Florida
Naples, FL – September 2024 – The Florida Fastpitch Coaches Convention, an exciting new event aimed at providing fastpitch softball coaches with the tools, resources, and inspiration to elevate their programs, will debut in Naples, Florida from January 3-5, 2025. This event, founded by Tracy Bettermann and her three daughters, Lexi, Paige, and Josie, was created to empower young women and give back to the game of softball for future generations.
The convention will feature keynote speakers, interactive discussions, and networking opportunities designed to support coaches at all levels. Attendees will gain insights from industry experts, learn from leaders in the sport, and explore the latest developments in fastpitch softball training and recruiting.
One of the event’s highlights will be the keynote address by Hall of Fame Coach Carol Hutchins, the all-time winningest coach in NCAA softball history. Hutchins, who has led the University of Michigan to an NCAA Championship and 22 Big Ten titles, will share her experiences and advice from over 39 seasons as one of the sport’s most influential leaders.
Jordan Clark, Head Coach at Florida Atlantic University, will close out the convention. Clark led the Owls to their first NCAA Regional appearance since 2016 and secured the AAC regular season title. Clark will offer insights into her early success and approach to building championship-caliber teams.
In addition to the educational sessions, the convention will engage the local community by partnering with Naples and Southwest Florida’s recreation programs.
One of our sponsors, Lead Your Journey, founded by William Hoopes, shares the mission of empowering coaches and athletes, making them a perfect partner for this inaugural event.
“This convention is not only a chance for coaches to grow, but it’s also a way for us to connect with and support the softball community,” said founder Tracy Bettermann. “By working directly with all levels of organizations, leagues, and sanctioning bodies, we hope to create a lasting impact for both our attendees and the sport itself.”
The Florida Fastpitch Coaches Convention will feature 28 sessions covering 14 different topics, offering attendees a wide variety of choices tailored to their needs. These sessions cater to all levels of coaching, from recreational to collegiate, and are designed for first-year coaches as well as those with years of experience. Additionally, discounts will be available for organizations, making it an accessible opportunity for groups looking to enhance their coaching knowledge and skills.
