DeLand, Fla. — Stetson softball assistant coach Shellie Robinson will be inducted into the USC Upstate Athletics Hall of Fame Saturday, Feb. 1, in Spartanburg, S.C.

Robinson, a DeLand native and two-time ASUN Conference Player of the Year, played four seasons with the Spartans from 2012-15.  She batted .389, hitting a school record 70 home runs and collecting 198 RBI.  The catcher/outfielder was named ASUN Freshman of the Year in 2012, ASUN Player of the Year in 2014 and 2015, and a third team NFCA All-American in 2014.  She set the conference all-time record with 218 runs and ranked among the top 10 all-time ASUN leaders in hits, doubles, home runs and RBI.  She slugged 23 home runs as a senior en route her fourth straight first team ASUN all-conference selection, and she helped USC Upstate reach the NCAA Tournament in 2013, 2014, and 2015.  She earned NFCA All-Region honors all four years.

Robinson will be inducted as part of the 2020 Hall of Fame class that includes Valerie Scott (women’s basketball) and Kenny Sugishita (track and field).  The ceremony will take place at 10:00 a.m. Saturday at the University Readiness Center in Spartanburg.
