The Tampa Mustangs Seymour showcased their dominance at the 18U Scenic City Top 25 tournament held in Chattanooga from June 22-24. They posted an impeccable 8-0 record and clinched the championship title. Their impressive run culminated in an 8-3 victory over Team North Carolina (Hinde) 18U in the finals.
The Mustangs’ offense was firing on all cylinders throughout the tournament. Sarah Breaux led the charge in the championship game by going 2-3 with a double. Hailey Vassalotti also made a significant impact, going 1-3 with 3 RBIs, while Sydney Young contributed with a 1-2 performance and 2 RBIs. Madalyn Johnson was stellar on the mound, pitching 3.2 innings without allowing a run, effectively shutting down Team North Carolina’s offense.
Power was a key element in the Mustangs’ strategy, with five players hitting home runs throughout the tournament. Breaux, in particular, had an outstanding performance with two home runs to her name, adding to her impressive offensive contributions.
