TAMPA, FLA.Feb. 21, 2021 – University of South Florida softball student-athlete Georgina Corrick was named the American Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Week, the league announced Monday.

Corrick (Sanford, Fla.) was the winning pitcher in game one of Sunday’s doubleheader against Jacksonville. She threw eight innings of shutout softball in the circle and only allowed four hits while striking out thirteen batters. The effort was her 20th career shutout and 53rd career victory.

The 13 strikeouts Corrick threw on the afternoon moved her up to fourth on USF’s all-time list with 573 strikeouts. She also ranks fifth in shutouts and sixth in victories. This week’s honor is Corrick’s 10th time being named AAC Pitcher of the Week in her career.
