TAMPA, FLA.Jan. 30, 2020 – Junior pitcher Georgina Corrick was selected as one of 50 players to USA Softball’s Collegiate Player of the Year Watch List, the organization announced. Corrick was a NFCA Second Team All-American in 2019.

Corrick (Sanford, Fla.) was one of 19 pitchers selected to the list and the only selection from the American Athletic Conference. View the complete list HERE.

Corrick was The American Pitcher of the Year for the second straight season in 2019. Finishing the year with a 1.14 ERA, she landed on multiple USF single-season record lists. Her 25 victories on the season were the seventh most in USF history. Her 260 season strikeouts were also the sixth most the program has seen. Corrick also finished fourth on the single-season list for shutouts (11) and eighth in opponent batting average (.167).

During the season, Corrick one-hit teams twice, including No. 6 Florida on April 10. She also recorded 10 double-digit strikeout games, including a personal-best 16 Ks against Tulsa (March 22).

In her career, Corrick has pitched 385.2 innings, posting a 1.38 ERA and a .183 opposing batting average. The junior has tallied 424 strikeouts over her two seasons in 57 appearances.
